I’m Shylean Jarraha, and I don’t define myself solely by my career. But for the purpose of this page: I’m a Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist (RCH) and Craniosacral Therapist, working in both English and Spanish, offering sessions online and in person.
I believe in regeneration, evolution, and change — we all have the right to transform and live from our truest selves. We are not bound by who we were, what we were taught, or the stories imposed on us. When we choose to, we can shift our perspective and step into a new paradigm of life.
That’s what I did. At 20, I left my “home city” to discover who I truly am—a journey that continues. With resilience and curiosity inherited from my family’s history of struggle and survival, I lived in Istanbul, Madrid, Santiago de Chile, Barcelona, and Vancouver. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the emotional challenges and complexity of identity, especially for those who have had to navigate multiple cultures, languages, or expectations while searching for where they belong.
As a journalist in Europe, I was deeply moved by people’s stories and their willingness to be vulnerable and give me access to their lives. That same curiosity guides my work as a therapist today—helping people uncover root causes, release what no longer serves them, and live in alignment with who they truly are.
My own healing led me here: a life-changing concussion introduced me to craniosacral therapy, while my search for the roots of emotion drew me to hypnotherapy. These practices revealed how patterns we think are fixed can actually be shifted and healed. Merging both approaches became what I now call The Hypnosacral Method—connecting the subconscious to the somatic.
My work is grounded in consciously and intentionally treating the person as a whole – considering all their dimensions. Because humans are layered and expansive beings. I believe in helping people help themselves—but not in isolation. Healing and growth shouldn’t mean becoming so boundaried and self-focused that we lose our sense of connection to others. True empowerment honours both your individuality and your belonging. I’m here to support you in becoming a version of yourself you feel at home in—grounded, whole, and connected.
Having lived across cultures as both an expat and an immigrant, I understand the grief, disorientation, and courage of starting over. I often work with immigrants and expats or people navigating cultural transitions, identity shifts, or redefining “home”. I welcome anyone seeking a space to reconnect with themselves.
I’m a lifelong learner, continually studying counselling, neuroscience, hypnotherapy, somatic practices, and parts therapy.
